An orange, a ribbon, a candle, some sweets.  Together they tell an amazing story of God's love for the world.  Lots of music and fun and joy as we gather together to find out more and also support the work of The Children's Society.   Why not bring a friend.

Fourum - "Singing in the Dales and other tales"
Following another successful concert at the Georgian Theatre earlier in October , FOURUM bring  a different programme of their own brand of folk music to St Mary’s Church on FRIDAY 15TH NOVEMBER  at 7.00 p.m.
Many of the songs will celebrate the characters, history and traditions of Swaledale, with occasional forays into Scotland and Tyneside. If the technology permits, it is also hoped to support the songs with images of these areas we love!! Into the mix goes a variety of instruments, harmony singing, audience participation and humour , so an entertaining evening is in store.  We are also promised the first public performance of a new song by band member and Worship for All instrumentalist Rod Hall – ‘St Mary’s Bells’ – so an evening not to be missed. Tickets on sale at the back of church after services. -£7.50 each (accompanied children U12 free) with the usual wine and nibbles included.
Tickets also available from Out of the Box in King Street: Neeps and Tatties and Castle Hill Books in the Market Place or by phoning 07754 283161
Bring your friends – they may even remain friends afterwards!
