Dear all

I am delighted to say that we have now restored our 9:15 midweek services. Technology-permitting, these will be streamed from the church and all are welcome to join in person or via Zoom. The Zoom link is shown below, along with a telephone number for anyone without a ‘webcam’. It will be the same link for the next few weeks, through to 9th September.

To enable us to maintain distancing requirements the services will be held in the nave, not the chancel. As with last Sunday’s service, if you attend in person please observe the precautions which will be advised to you as you enter in order to keep yourself and others safe. In line with government advice, you are required to wear a face covering (unless you are unable to do so). This is primarily to protect others, not the wearer, but is not to be considered a replacement for maintaining physical distancing and care over hand hygiene.

Regrettably, only I will be able to receive the consecrated bread and wine. However, I will do so on behalf of us all. The rest of us, whether at home or in church, will join together in making a ‘Spiritual Communion’ as summarised in the order of service.

Dear friends,

Following our first ever Zoom Café Church last month (introducing Paul and Jeanette), our next event will be this coming Sunday – when our special guest will be Gillian.

It is hard to believe that Gillian’s final Sunday with us will be 13th September, just over 6 weeks away! She will then be preparing to begin training for ordination at Cranmer Hall in Durham.

Dear friends,

On behalf of the Benefice of Richmond with Hudswell and Downholme and Marske I would like to invite you to join our live 10am Communion Service which will be streamed from St Mary’s church and led by Bishop John. I also extend a special welcome to our friends from the Stanwick Group of churches who will be joining us whilst their vicar Camilla and our organist Chris are on holiday with their family.

If you would like to attend the service in person you will be most welcome. Please observe the precautions which will be advised to you as you enter the church in order to keep yourself and others safe. The same applies to the 9:30am and 11am Communion services which will be held at Downholme and Marske – for the first time since March!  In line with government advice, you may wish to wear a face covering. This is primarily to protect others, not the wearer, but is not to be considered a replacement for maintaining physical distancing and care over hand hygiene.

You will be just as welcome to attend online, and the Zoom link is shown at the foot of this message. A telephone number is included alongside the video link if you would rather dial in.

Please sign in at any time from 9:30; we will be joined by friends who are not online via our alternative ‘dial-in’ option.

Fun-Key Church Ice Cream Sundae!

Fun-Key Church and friends meets for ice cream at The Station on Sunday 26th July at 4pm. Why not come along and support our local ice cream shop - Archers Ice Cream at The Station. Come and catch up in a socially-distanced way and hear about our plans for August. If the weather is nice some of us might walk to Easby afterwards. Any queries call Gillian on 07592016476. Everybody of all ages welcome whether you've been to Fun-Key Church or not before.  (Please note Archer's ice cream shop doesn't take cash - so please bring a card with you.
