COVID - The First Anniversary of the First Lockdown
The Church of England has partnered with Marie Curie to mark the first anniversary of the first lockdown in the UK with a national day of reflection on Tuesday, 23rd March 2021.
Churches and their communities will come together in prayer to reflect on our collective loss due to Covid-19, support those who have been bereaved, and hope for a brighter future.
Bellringers have been invited by the Church to mark the end of the one minute silent reflection at 12 noon by tolling a bell at 12:01. The Bells of St. Mary's Church will be taking part, so please take a moment to reflect and maybe offer a quick prayer for all those who have lost lost loved ones due to this horrible virus.
Church is open from 8:30 am until late afternoon every day for private prayer. See also our 'Events' for details of our weekly services.
