Dear all

I am delighted to say that we  have now restored our 9:15 midweek services. Technology-permitting, these will be streamed from the church and all are welcome to join in person or via Zoom. The Zoom link is shown below, along with a telephone number for anyone without a ‘webcam’. The link will remain the same for the foreseeable future.

To enable us to maintain distancing requirements the services will be held in the nave, not the chancel. If you attend in person please observe the precautions which will be advised to you as you enter in order to keep yourself and others safe. In line with government advice, you are required to wear a face covering (unless you are unable to do so). This is primarily to protect others, not the wearer, but is not to be considered a replacement for maintaining physical distancing and care over hand hygiene.

This service will now be "communion in one kind" where if we wish we may receive the bread.  Precautions and care and procedures are in place to do this as safely as possible and within the current guidelines.

The words of the service are attached.

I look forward to seeing you one Wednesday!

Blessings,

Martin

Congratulations to everyone nominated and awarded this evening.  For some inexplicable reason the original link was "unlisted" with YouTube - huge apologies.  Please use this link here.

A note from Gillian

I just wanted to say a huge and heartfelt thanks to everyone for such a wonderful and generous farewell.  Thank you so much for all your gifts...I am overwhelmed by such generosity.  As I said on the 13th it has been such a privilege to be part of the benefice of Richmond with Hudswell, Downholme and Marske, and the benefice will always have a special place in my heart and our family.
With much love and thanks

Dear friends,

On behalf of the Benefice of Richmond with Hudswell and Downholme and Marske I would like to invite you to join our live 10am Communion Service, which will be streamed from St Mary’s church. We will be coming together as a Benefice to say farewell to Gillian and we will be making a special presentation to her. As she prepares to begin training for ordination we offer her our heartfelt thanks for all she has done for us and we assure her of our ongoing love, prayers and blessing.

Whether you attend online or in person you will be equally welcome. For those attending in person there will be the option of receiving Communion physically, in one kind. Please do not feel you must do this, however: as in previous weeks, and as for everyone attending online, by receiving spiritually you will still “truly eat and drink the Body and Blood of our Saviour Christ”.
