UPDATE - It was really good to be able to welcome so many honoured guests along with our Mayor Stuart Parsons.

We look forward to welcoming our mayor, and many civic dignitaries from around the area to this special service celebrating the contribution made by so many for the good of our community.

An opportunity for the community to come together and thank God for our beautiful town, and for all who work hard to support our community.

Gillian is the Mayor's Chaplain this year and would love to welcome you.

UPDATE - We had a really interesting afternoon, when Margaret encouraged us to think about and talk about death, hope and fear.

On Sunday 20th August we look forward to welcoming Margaret Jefferson, who amongst other things used to be Director of St Cuthberts Hospice in Durham.

We will have refreshments from 3.45pm and our service will start at 4pm with a short prayer, reading and introduction, then we will hear Margaret speak about her work and life.  There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and questions if you wish.

Our service will close just after 5pm with the quiet office of Compline.

Sung Evensong at St Mary's Church

UPDATE - it was good to join together to sing evensong together.

On Sunday 13th August at 6.30pm there will be our monthly Evensong service.  The choir are having their August break, so instead of the choir singing parts of Evensong, we shall sing their parts as hymns.  A good opportunity to sing lots of hymns whilst enjoying the tradition, quiet and beautiful form of worship.

We look forward to welcoming you.
