"Richmond to Richmond tandem cycle ride 23rd to 29th May in aid of Bell Restoration Appeal.
Six of us, two on a tandem, will be cycling between the two Richmonds ringing bells at small churches, abbeys and cathedrals along the way.

Really really interesting afternoon with David Wilkinson speaking with us at Cafe Church. He managed to weave Chaos Theory, Quantum Physics, Parking Prayers, The Simpsons, The Cloud, Codec and so much more, all whilst talking around the subect of his latest book - When I pray, what does God do?
It was a real privilege to have him with us.

Café Church at St Mary's is on Sunday 15th May at 4pm with refreshments starting at 3.45pm

Our speaker will be Rev David Wilkinson who is going to be speaking about the topic of his new book "When I pray, what does God do?".

Bluebell and Primrose Guided Woodland Walk

Update -

St Michael & All Angels Church Downholme had its funds boosted by over £300, when 29 people went on a guided walk to see the bluebells and primroses in perfect weather on Wednesday 11th May.  Seb Mankelow very kindly came along and shared his knowledge of the numerous flowers seen along the route including orchids and answered any questions.

On Saturday, 23rd April, St Mary’s band of bell ringers entered a team into the annual striking competition of their association – the Cleveland and North Yorkshire branch of the Yorkshire Association of Change Ringers.  This requires the careful placing of each bell in its sequence, all being rung evenly in time, and needs concentration and good control of the bell.
