Mothering Sunday Fun-Key Church

Join us as we celebrate Mothering Sunday - we will look at the origins of Mothering Sunday and celebrate those who have and may continue to nurture and care for us (whilst remembering there are some who do not have such experiences).  We have lots of crafts, activities, hymns, songs, stories and a short talk.  Some of our activities will include making a "Lent in a bag" and getting ready for the Fun-Key Church Passion play on Sunday 28th April at 4pm.  All very relaxed, informal and fun.  The Mothers Union are kindly giving primulas to us to give to those we love and care for or who love and care for us.  All are welcome.

Mothering Sunday Worship for All

We would love to welcome you to St Mary's as we celebrate Mothering Sunday - an opportunity to thank God for all those who have been like mothers to us, in a nurturing and loving concept whilst also remembering that for some that has not always been the case.  This slightly more informal service will include a talk, some hymns and music and communion.  All are welcome. The Mothers Union are kindly giving primulas to all.

Lent Courses

Our Lent Course

Following on from last year’s stimulating course, written by our own Bishop John, we will be following another ‘York course’, written this time by Bishop Nick.

Entitled ‘Daring to see God now’, it takes the Good news of God as proclaimed in Mark’s Gospel as a starting point.

This short course is a good opportunity for us to experience being part of a Home Group: a ‘safe space’ in which we can learn from each other. With each group including members from the other churches in Richmond we will also be able to learn from different Christian traditions.

The first of five weekly sessions begins in week commencing 10th March, with groups meeting as follows:

Tuesdays          2:00 The Rectory led by Revd Martin Fletcher (821241)

Wednesdays 12:00 Methodist Church led by Revd Les Nevin (823149)

                                  (followed by a soup lunch)

7:30   2 Hurgill Road led by Scott Lunn (826895)

Thursdays          7:30 1 Roper Court Read more
