Holy Week and Easter at St. Mary's

Dear friends,

As Holy Week and Easter draw near I would like to invite you to join any of our special services or to use our special resources.

With Step 1 of the lifting of Lockdown due on 29th March the safety of us all must remain everyone’s first priority. All events held in church will therefore continue to be fully accessible online. You will of course be equally welcome to attend in person, and on arrival the precautions required to maintain St Mary’s as a Covid-secure environment will be advised to you. To help maintain the sense of us all joining together in blended worship our practice of offering Spiritual Communion will continue.

RESOURCES

Stations of the Cross

Our beautiful Stations of the Cross will be on display in the church from Palm Sunday. The images are attached along with a reflection for each one.

Easter Trail

During Holy Week and over the school holidays, in lieu of our traditional ecumenical Good Friday Walk of Witness, each of the churches in Richmond will be displaying scenes which tell the story from the Triumphal Entry to the Resurrection. The St Mary’s display will feature ‘Resurrection’ and ‘Hope’. The Trail is designed for all ages to follow, observing Covid safety precautions. An Information Sheet is attached, copies of which have also been delivered to the schools.
