Lent in a Bag with Paul (Introduction Video)

Friends, in light of the success of our 'Christingle in a Bag', Paul brings you 'Lent in a Bag'.

Check out an introduction video here.

All Are Welcome!

Are you all ‘Zoomed out’? In need of a little quiet reflection? Always wanted one of those interchangeable colouring pencils as a child? If so, then the Saturday Lent Group is for you!

To refocus our mind, it often helps to use our other senses. The sense of touch is just one of them that we will explore through ‘Lent in a Bag’. Some love the feel of a rough stone, while others could think of nothing worse. Some enjoy the soft touch of cotton, and others prefer the stone.

To help our focus through lent, the ‘Lent in a Bag’ group will each receive a bag with items ranging from a stone right through to a piece of material. Each week an accompanying YouTube and Facebook post will help us, along with one item from the bag, to connect with God through prayer, readings, and our own reflection.

Although the YouTube and Facebook video will be available from 16:00hrs every Saturday, you are free to join us Live or Later, as is the freedom of social media. It is expected that the video will last no more than 10 minutes, but you are invited to take as long as you need to reflect on the words and watch and re-watch the video as often as needed. All Are Welcome.

The pre-packed ‘Lent in a Bag’ can be collected from Church any time from Saturday 13th February. The building is open for private prayer from 8:30am every day until late afternoon. If you are unable to get out to collect one, please let me know and I will endeavour to get one to you. If distance is an issue, please contact me and I will provide you with a list of what you need to take part.
