Thy Kingdom Come Deanery Walks 2019 plus....

 Thy Kingdom Come

In our Deanery there will be a series of Walks between the various churches. We are invited to use these walks as a sign of unity, as a witness, and as an opportunity for prayer.   In addition to that on Thursday 30th May, Ascension Day -  there will be a Deanery Fun Afternoon at Easby Abbey with something for everyone, followed by worship at St Agatha’s church, Easby led by Bishop Helen-Ann.

At 7pm on Thursday 30th May there will be an Ascension Day parish communion service at St Mary's Church.

For the ten days between Ascension Day and Pentecost we are invited to join in the wave of prayer known as Thy Kingdom Come. Read more

Richmond Meet Service

UPDATE - We were delighted to welcome so many guests to our Rogation and Meet service.  The Meet badges from over 110 years are still on display in church.  Do pop in and see them.  We look forward to welcoming Corinne Alsop (President of The Meet Club) and all her Meet guests to come and worship at St Mary's Church on Sunday 26th May at 10am.  The church is packed with A3 photos of 116 of the Meet badges  - do come and see them.

As part of The Meet Scott has organised a bike ride - he says -

The annual Richmond Meet is on the next bank holiday weekend 25th, 26th and 27th May.
This festival is well over one hundred years old and its tradition is strongly linked to cycling.
This year's Meet President, Corinne Alsop, is very keen that there is a link with cycling for this year's meet.
What can you do?
Please join us around the Town Hall leading up to 11:00 on the morning of Saturday 25th May.
At 11:00 all cyclists present will ride out of the Market Place having been sent off by The President.
You then have a choice whether to join me and a few others on a 30 mile re recreational ride. (This goes to Hipswell, Colburn, Catterick Racecourse, Brompton, Gilling West, Kirby Hill, Marske, Downholme, Hudswell, Richmond).
Alternatively do your own ride either on the Saturday morning or sometime over the weekend.
The important thing is to having a clear cycling presence in the 2019 Meet!
