Your church needs YOU!
Your church needs you!

A church community can be identified by the connectedness of its members – to each other and to God. St Paul reminds us that together we make up the Body of Christ. As fellow members of the same body we are mutually dependent and therefore no one member is any more important than another.

Being a member of the Electoral Roll is one way of declaring our membership of and commitment to our church community – whilst also entitling us to vote in the elections which take place at the Annual Meeting. An additional way is to join our Planned Giving Scheme (please see for further information).

Every church community undertakes a complete renewal of its Electoral Roll every six years, with the next renewal due this year.

So, even if you are a current member of the Electoral Roll you will need to complete a new application form. Forms can be collected and handed in at the back of the church, from our Electoral Roll Officer John Dickinson, or from the Parish Office. Please submit your form by 10th March. And please remember, your church needs you!

For further information please contact John Dickinson (826803) or Martin (821241).

You can also find the form here.  If you would like to you can complete the form and email it to John Dickinson at then leave a hard copy in church.  You can also for the GDPR compliance form which we would be grateful if you would complete and return as above. You can find it here.

Fun-Key Church - Jesus calms the storm

UPDATE - Huge amounts of fun - a boat, a parachute, storm bottles, a life jacket and so much more - find the photos on our gallery.  Come and join us as we explore the story of Jesus calming the storm.  Crafts and activities (including make a storm in a bottle, a biscuit boat on jelly water, bubble craft, the floating submarine and so much more), songs, prayer, a short talk and plenty of fun.  Also, a quiet space away from the storm.  Very relaxed and informal.  All are welcome.

Cafe Church at St Mary's

Looking forward to welcoming Anne Harrison from Durham to Cafe Church on Sunday 17th Feb at 4pm when she will be looking at 'Singing the Lord's song' with a subtitle of 'What Christians sing and why'? Anne will be exploring the positive aspects of singing in worship (drawing on various sources, including John Bell's book The Singing Thing).  This will also give the opportunity to introduce a mixture of sung repertoire which may include some new hymn texts sung to familiar tunes, a Taize chant, a song from the world church etc.  All are welcome
