After the cards and the visitors

UPDATE - Thank you to those who joined us.  We meet again on Tuesday 5th September.

Bereavement is a very difficult time for the spouse/partner left behind. Starting again on your own is even more difficult.

Carrie and Anne will be meeting in the Greyfriars Restaurant for coffee and a chat at 10.30am.

Fun-Key Church - Jesus the Storyteller

UPDATE - It was great to be joined by many to look at the different parables of Jesus.  We gather again for Harvest on Sunday 24th September at 4pm.

We look forward to welcoming all ages to our service when we will be looking at the parables or stories which Jesus told as a way of helping us understand and learn more about him and God and what we are called to do.

We have the usual mix of hymns and a reading, prayers, a short talk and some activities including –

  • The great mustard seed and chocolate coin game
  • Hunt the mustard seed
  • Which bread is which?
  • The great yeast and sugar experiment, and
  • a prayer fishing net to catch our prayers.

It was an exciting and somewhat emotional moment when the parish of Richmond was treated to the sound of St Mary's Bells ringing out for the first time in many months.

First Test Ring

After a lot of hard work, graft, fundraising, sweat and probably a few tears the bells were tested on Wednesday 19th July at 7.30pm.

They look forward to ringing on Sunday 23rd July before the 10am service.
